None to Run: Wk 2 Day 1
Week 2 of my None to Run journey has begun!
One minute run! I did it!
I was soooooo worried about this run.
Last time I tried to run at this pace (Couch to 5K or C25K), I was wrecked.
Wrecked as in unhealthily exhausted and injured (lower body in pain for days—not sore, but pain). And it was DAY ONE! It turned me away from running for years.
This time I tried again, but learning from my past mistakes, took it slower.
So here we are, Week 2 of my None to Run journey, and I ran 1-minute jogs - seven times!
And what did I do after the run?
I'm right here, writing a blog, drinking a ton of water.
Something to watch: I did feel a slight twinge of pain on my left shin. It was when I tried this breathing thing I saw on IG (inhale-inhale-exhale). Maybe I got distracted? I focused again, breathed like I normally would, and the pain went away. I'm watching it closely though.
And looking up prevent/heal shin splint videos shortly.
So so so stoked! Tomorrow is strength training!
