The little time moms have for themselves

Some thoughts

I want to start this by saying I'm not complaining.

My husband, children, business, and everything in between are what make up the life I have right now — a life that I'm truly grateful for.

So this is an observation, not a complaint.

My day is basically based on the needs of the people around me and the people who hire me.

I'm beholden the moment I wake up.

To God, because I owe Him everything.

To the clients. I work in the AM before the kids wake up.

To the kids. As soon as they wake up, I'm all theirs. Cooking breakfast, playing, showers, etc.

To the home. Doing the laundry, more cooking, washing the dishes, cleaning, etc.

To my spouse. Making him dinner, and other spouse-y things.

And when all that's said and done, I get to run. In the afternoon.

On weekends, I get to run in the morning coz the hubby is home and can sleep in with the kids.

Before they wake up and need me to get the day started.

My schedule is pretty set throughout the day, but running helped me realize how little a window I have to have time for myself.

And even then, I wouldn't give it for the world.

Running enhances the time I have for myself and I'm grateful I found it.

Tiring as running is, it's made me stronger.

It's made me happier too. With myself, especially.

Tomorrow, when the air quality is better, I get to run again.
