Running in carbs and sugar sucks...

I felt great in Carnivore while sugar and carbs were killing me... what gives?

For me at least 🤷‍♀️

So I slowly tried re-introducing carbs and sugar to my diet the last few days.

My body is not happy.

I feel bloated, heavy, stomach-achey, etc.

But worst of all? My runs feel terrible.

(At first I thought it was just the bad air quality last week).

I started running before I started Carnivore. But the runs were relatively easy, so I didn't notice much aches and pains.

Enter Carnivore and my runs felt lighter somehow and I felt stronger. For a couple of weeks I thought I was getting to the next level of beginner.

But I started eating carbs (simple and complex) and sugar again (honey and maple syrup).

I feel the difference.

The miserable difference.

Miserable because I love my carbs and sweets (I didn't become obese because I ate too much protein) and I hate giving them up.

Miserable still because I feel worse when I'm on them and my runs are definitely not improving. Heck, I'm slowing down.

So the only reasonable next step for me is to return to a disciplined Carnivore diet.

If, after two weeks of Carnivore and things don't improve, then maybe my conclusion is wrong. But if I feel better and I get stronger, then we know there's a strong correlation there.

This mission to run has become a health journey, and I'm loving it.

What about you? Do you follow a specific diet?
